Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparation, ensuring food safety standards, and managing kitchen operations. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a passionate culinary professional to showcase leadership skills within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with established recipes and presentation standards
  • Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient workflow
  • Manage food production processes, maintaining high quality and consistency across all menu items
  • Oversee food safety and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health regulations
  • Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating innovative ideas to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock control to minimise waste
  • Train new team members and facilitate ongoing professional development for existing staff
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment at all times

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality setting, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food safety standards
  • Supervising experience with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively
  • Excellent knowledge of food production processes and kitchen operations
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Good communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels
  • Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant environments is highly desirable
  • A passion for culinary arts and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: £12.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
