Carpenter - Fire Door Installation team

About us

Fireco is an established brand within the Fire Safety sector, with a rapidly growing fire door division alongside our portfolio of unique fire safety products and services.

As part of a growing company we are looking to expand the team with an additional full time member of staff. We are seeking a skilled and reliable carpenter to join our team installing fire doors as part of a team on a range of sites. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.

While our main business is in the south-east of England, we offer services in a much wider geographical area, so an ability to stay away overnight to carry out jobs further afield will be necessary - (accommodation provided).

Role

  • Perform a variety of carpentry tasks, including installation, repair, and maintenance of doors,and other structures.
  • Making good after-fire doors installations
  • Survey of fire doors for replacement.
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and meets relevant building codes and regulations and Fireco's third party certification. Training in appropriate methods and certification requirements will be given.
  • Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Removal of existing fire doors

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a carpenter, with a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and tools.
  • Experience with fire door installation is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Monday - Friday, typically 40 hours per week
  • Some overnight stays (accomodation provided)
  • Ideally based in the M25 area
  • Clean driving licence essential
  • Must have Right to Work in UK
