At Brompton we're looking to the future:What combination of products and services does Brompton need to offer to help as many people as possible move independently in the urban environment? How do customers relate to their bike and more broadly to Brompton? How will the advent of readily available AI impact our user experience and business models? We want to explore these themes and the problems our customers face in the broadest sense. We need to ensure we offer value to our customers and to do this in a way which will sustain us as a business.

We're looking for someone who can work independently, bring new ideas which solve real problems in new ways and present their work in an engaging way which can be easily understood by a non-technical audience.

This Design Research internship has the potential to transition into a longer-term role at Brompton.

The candidate(s) should:

  • Be able to work independently with a focus on the experience of the final output.

  • Be prepared to pivot and evolve as we learn.

  • Have a proven track record of producing creative, thought provoking and exciting ideas.

  • Be curious. Learn fast and understand the impact.

  • Be able to understand user needs and requirements through direct observation and questioning.

  • Have excellent design skills with the ability to construct a brief based upon research.

  • Create solutions with a focus on the user needs and requirements.

  • Have excellent presentation skills and be able to communicate ideas in a way which is clear, concise and logical.

  • A willingness to experiment with different physical and digital media and prototyping approaches to test ideas.

Software: Miro / Figma / Video editing (ideally familiar with all)

Duration: 12 weeks

Paid (London living wage)
