Overview

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for clearing/delivering goods efficiently and safely, ensuring timely service to our clients. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and logistics, looking to utilise their skills in a dynamic environment. A valid driver licence is essential, along with experience in commercial driving and warehouse operations.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including flatbed lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Deliver goods to various locations within the designated area, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to maintain vehicle safety and compliance.
  • Assist with loading and unloading cargo, utilising warehouse experience to handle goods efficiently.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery schedules or any unforeseen delays.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance logs.
  • Ensure the security of goods during transit and upon delivery at the destination.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in driving, particularly as a delivery driver or in a similar role involving commercial driving.
  • Valid driver licence with a clean driving record.
  • Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle checks and troubleshoot minor issues.
  • Experience operating flatbed vehicles or similar large transport equipment preferred.
  • Strong communication skills for liaising with clients and team members effectively.
  • Warehouse experience is advantageous for handling goods efficiently during loading and unloading processes.
  • Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisation and time management skills.
  • Physical fitness to handle loading/unloading tasks and long hours on the road. This position offers an engaging role for drivers eager to contribute their expertise within a supportive team environment, ensuring high standards of safety and customer service at all times.
