We have a rare opportunity for a Head Office Security Officer to join us at Morrisons.

Key points:

  • Role Purpose: The officer will ensure effective security to protect company assets, reputation, people, and property, prevent crime and ensure colleague safety during emergencies.
  • Working Pattern: The position follows a 4-day-on (45 hrs) and 4-day-off pattern, including both day and night shifts, as well as weekend working.
  • Responsibilities include: Managing pedestrian and vehicle access, ensuring safety for colleagues and visitors, prioritising emergency procedures, conducting Loss Prevention activities (searches, patrols, CCTV monitoring), and maintaining security records.
  • Requirements: Applicants should have experience in a similar security-focused role within a large organisation, a working knowledge of security duties in line with employment law, and experience with security activities like searches and CCTV monitoring.

  • Experience in a similar, security focused role, within a large organisation
  • Understanding of site policies and procedures and working knowledge of security duties in line with employment law
  • Knowledge of policy and procedure relating to removal of samples from premises
  • Ability to understand colleague and visitor requirements and respond to their feedback
  • Enthusiasm and commitment to delivering excellent customer service every day
  • Ability to be self motivated and persistent
  • Experience of conducting security activities such as colleague searches and perimeter inspections
  • Experience of using IT systems to undertake security activities such as monitoring CCTV
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
