Job Description

We are looking for Alternative Provision tutors to join our team for learners who are currently on an EOTAS packages that needs tuition support. They are KS2 with SEN and trauma towards school.

The perfect tutor would be -

  • Be willing to work at part of the Multi Disciplinary team
  • Be patient on the starting date and willing to build up the hours
  • Be flexible on the timings/days
  • Will be able to have a trauma informed approach

Location: Waltham Forest

Hours: 8-10 hours

Start Date: Ongoing

Rate: £35 per hour (Self-employed)

Organisation: Education Boutique

Delivery: In-person only (online is not an option)

  • Tailor sessions to meet the needs of a learner with a complex profile
  • Use trauma-informed and pupil-led approaches to foster engagement and progress
  • Build strong, supportive relationships with the student to encourage confidence and participation
  • Track and report on progress, adapting plans as needed to ensure continued development

Essential Requirements

  • Trauma-informed teaching approach
  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service
  • Self-employed status and right to work in the UK
  • Availability during weekday daytime hours
  • Reliable transport to attend in-person sessions

  • Skilled in supporting learners outside of mainstream education
  • Creative and flexible teaching style to meet individual needs
