Job Title: Experienced Marine Engineer

River Yar Boatyard and Wight Marine are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Marine Engineer to join our team. Applicants must have previous hands-on experience within the leisure marine engineering sector.

The ideal candidate will have strong diagnostic and repair skills and should be confident working independently on a wide range of leisure craft. Experience specialising in inboard engines is essential, particularly with manufacturers such as Volvo Penta and Yanmar.

Outboard experience would be beneficial but not required.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a leisure marine engineer (essential)
  • Background in leisure marine industry
  • Strong knowledge of inboard engine systems
  • Experience with Volvo Penta and/or Yanmar engines (highly desirable)
  • Ability to diagnose, service, and repair to a high standard
  • Good communication and customer-service skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
