The opportunity
To reflect the business by creating the best of first impressions to all guests, advisers and employees entering our Swindon Office. As the first person any guest/customer would come into contact with, it is fundamental that the role holder epitomises what we stand for as a business and reflects our brand values – highly competent, strong integrity, easy to deal with and with exceptional service skills. As the first point of contact for all external visitors the receptionist must deal with all enquiries in a professional manner. As part of a small team, they must be able to forge strong working relationships, be flexible and respond to the needs of the business and above all deal with challenges and uncertainty in a calm, controlled and professional manner.

This is a part time position, 4 days per week in our Swindon office.

  • Salary - Up to £27,500.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Greet visitors appropriately and determine visitor needs in a professional manner.
  • Manage the security process, issuing visitor passes, maintaining the visitor register.
  • Deal with all enquiries in a professional and courteous manner, in person on the telephone or via email.
  • Ensure Reception area is kept clean and tidy to a standard fitting with the Openwork image.
  • Work with the Facilities Assistant in the set up of meeting rooms and organise /coordinate the appropriate equipment.
  • Support the evacuation process in cases of emergency, acting as a first point of contact for guests & emergency services.
  • Work as part of the Facilities team on a variety of tasks and also supporting the Head of Facilities.

What will you need to succeed?

  • IT literate – Intermediate level of Microsoft Office.
  • Educated to GCSE English & Mathematics.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to deal with individuals of all levels.
  • Shows initiative and has the ability to work unsupervised at times.
  • First class telephone skills.
  • Excellent personal organisation skills.
  • Outstanding customer service experience.
  • Maintains Confidentiality and shows discretion.
  • Adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Represents the company in an ethical and professional manner.
