Role Overview
As an Associate Director in Land Referencing at Savills, you will play a leading role in shaping and delivering land referencing services for nationally significant infrastructure projects. Building on your deep technical expertise and proven leadership, you will drive project strategy, oversee complex delivery programmes, and act as a trusted advisor to clients on land ownership, compulsory purchase processes, and statutory requirements. You will play a central part in growing our capability, strengthening client relationships, and ensuring the highest levels of service and satisfaction.
Skills required:
- Extensive experience in land referencing at senior level, ideally across nationally significant infrastructure schemes within multi-disciplinary environments.

- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire specialist teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and nurturing professional growth.
- Proven commercial acumen, with experience in business development, client management, and successful delivery of large-scale projects.
- Ability to operate at a strategic level, influencing client and stakeholder decision-making and contributing to the wider growth of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Lead land referencing programmes for major infrastructure projects (e.g., DCO, CPO, TWAO), ensuring delivery to the highest technical standards, on time and within budget.
- Act as senior client liaison, managing key accounts, providing strategic advice, and influencing decision-making on land referencing, compulsory acquisition, and planning matters.
- Direct and mentor land referencing teams, setting quality standards, ensuring compliance with project requirements, and fostering professional development across the team.
- Shape commercial strategy by preparing and reviewing resource plans, scopes, and cost estimates for major bids and tenders, working closely with the Head of Land Referencing to secure and deliver new opportunities.
- Champion innovation and best practice, enhancing land referencing methodologies, promoting the use of digital tools and data, and supporting continuous improvement across projects.
