Monday to Friday – Term-Time only (39 weeks per year)
Permanent – 37 hours per week

About The Job
We're delighted to be recruiting a Learning Support Assistant to join the dedicated team at St. Piers College.
In this rewarding role, you'll work under the guidance of a Personal Tutor, supporting young adults throughout their college journey. You'll play a key part in helping to plan and deliver engaging, meaningful learning experiences that empower students to achieve their full potential.
Day-to-day, your role will include but not limited to: -
- Putting the students at the heart of everything we do.
- Helping to create a safe learning environment where all students are encouraged, and enabled, to achieve their full potential.
- Enabling students to access learning, using needs-specific, personalised approaches, both with 1:1 and group learning activities.
- Assisting Tutors in the delivery of their lessons.
- Contributing to tracking students' achievements against their learning objectives.
- Facilitating learning activities for students to build their skills and knowledge

- Have, or are willing to work towards a Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching and Learning.

St Piers College sits in the Education Directorate of Young Epilepsy, the leading national charity working exclusively to improve the lives of children and young people with epilepsy and/or associated conditions.
We are a non-maintained residential special school for 19–25-year-olds, and we are an innovative and creative College for adults with SEND, and a large percentage of our cohort have Epilepsy, autism, and severe learning difficulties, along with communication difficulties.
The college provides a variety of interactive and inclusive environments, both indoors and outdoors, which support the pursuit of ambitions and aspirations through a whole range of exciting and creative spaces.
