Overview

We are seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food production, culinary arts, and team management, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hospitality. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of kitchen operations, ensuring that our dishes not only meet but exceed our guests' expectations.

Duties

  • Supervise and manage kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
  • Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to ensure quality and consistency in every dish served.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and current culinary trends.
  • Maintain strict adherence to food safety regulations and hygiene standards within the kitchen.
  • Train and mentor kitchen staff in cooking techniques, food presentation, and best practices.
  • Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Monitor kitchen performance and make adjustments as necessary to improve efficiency and quality.

Experience

  • Proven experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably as a Head Chef or Sous Chef within a restaurant environment.
  • Strong supervisory skills with experience in team management and leadership.
  • Extensive knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and presentation styles.
  • Demonstrated expertise in food safety practices and regulations.
  • Background in hospitality with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
