Lawgistics Litigation for the Motor Trade
Lawgistics is the largest Motor Trade Consultancy in the UK. We provide specialist legal advice alongside our digital warranty portal, bespoke stationery and our award winning HR Manager software designed by our in house tech team to help our clients manage all their employment law responsibilities.
Its sister company, Lawgistics Litigation for the Motor Trade CIC, is seeking a newly qualified solicitor to join its expanding litigation team. Our team of expert legal consultants work with clients to keep matters out of court where possible, but once a claim is issued, matters are transferred to our qualified team and it is this team which is looking to be joined by a NQ+ Solicitor.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled litigation solicitor who is a team player and brings a positive energy to the workplace. We are a diverse team who embrace our differences and all pull together making the most of our individual skill sets and personalities. The work is interesting and because of our fixed fee system, there is no time recording or billing targets. Our priority is providing our motor trade clients with an excellent quality of service while meeting all our regulatory and client care standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage a range of litigation cases, predominantly in consumer law, ensuring deadlines are met and clients are well looked after.
- Draft and review legal documents, including contracts, agreements and pleadings.
- Conduct thorough research on legal precedents and case law to support client cases. We subscribe to Lexis AI to assist with this.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of changes in legislation and relevant legal practices.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing exceptional service and support throughout their litigated matters.
- Be part of a rota to provide Duty Telephone Advice on our Legal Helpline.
- Collaborate with colleagues and other professionals to develop effective strategies for client representation.
Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor with a valid practising certificate.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an emphasis on clarity, plain English and professionalism.
- Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in all aspects of work.
- A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all dealings.
- Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate who demonstrates potential and commitment.
- Ability to work digitally without paper files.
- An interest in cars or motor mechanics helpful, but not essential.
