We are seeking a highly organised, agile and detail-oriented Jacket and Sales Material Coordinator to join our Publishing Operations team. This role works closely with DK Children's non-fiction and fiction books and acts as the central workflow point to ensure every title is prepared and presented to our global sales teams on time.

As the Jacket and Sales Material Coordinator, you are the link between our creative, production, and sales teams across the company. Your main responsibility is to ensure the timely delivery of sales material by tracking progress, championing deadlines, and guaranteeing all key milestones are hit on schedule from acquisitions through to publication. This role is perfect for someone motivated by collaboration and seeing projects through to completion.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Sales Material Management:
    Tracking, monitoring, and driving the critical path for a diverse list of titles, ensuring all project milestones are consistently achieved.
  • Workflow Coordination:
     Acting as the key communication hub, managing the flow of information between departments to ensure clarity and alignment on the sales material and metadata workflows.
  • Data Excellence Support:
    Assisting with the maintenance of essential book metadata (ONIX) across internal and external systems to make sure the data is accurate and our books are discoverable.
  • Process Perfection:
     Helping to identify bottlenecks and suggesting improvements to our workflows to make our operations even more efficient.

     A proactive, solution-oriented approach to process management and problem-solving.
  • Strong Communication Skills:
     You are articulate, professional, and confident in all communication, with the ability to respectfully challenge stakeholders when necessary to protect timelines. .
  • Tech Savvy:
     You're highly proficient in Google apps and MS Office and comfortable mastering new internal systems and databases quickly (experience with a Title Management System like Biblio or a Project Management system like Asana is a huge plus).

This role offers a rare and exciting opportunity to gain deep, foundational knowledge at the very heart of the publishing process. As an entry-level role, you do not need previous publishing experience. You can bring your transferrable skills in coordination, time management and communication.

You will be involved in every stage, from initial concept through to publication, giving you a holistic view of how books are made.You will join a supportive, collaborative, and creative team environment. Working from the office a minimum of three days a week, you will report directly to the Publishing Programme Manager (Children's).
