Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of cost control and financial planning for construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and to the highest standards. Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for construction projects from initial design through to completion.
  • Monitor project costs and progress, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
  • Conduct cost analysis and value engineering to optimise project expenditure without compromising quality.
  • Manage tendering processes, including evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and industry regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Collaborate closely with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to each project.
  • Identify potential cost overruns early and implement corrective measures proactively.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong expertise in cost control, budgeting, and financial management of construction projects.
  • Familiarity with current industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficient in relevant software applications such as CostX, Bluebeam, or equivalent programmes.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Relevant professional qualification (e.g., RICS accreditation) is preferred but not essential.
