As part of our continued development, we are recruiting professional and enthusiastic individuals to join our busy and dynamic Ramp and Baggage teams.

JOB DESCRIPTION

To complete the full range of ramp handling tasks to the highest possible safety and service standards. To represent Cobalt in a professional manner and to take the lead in ensuring safe working practices under the direction of the nominated Ramp Supervisor on the turnaround. To be a specialist operator of key Ground Service Equipment (GSE), Jet Bridges and to complete runway crossings (as operationally required), subject to the satisfactory completion of the relevant training. To perform key tasks independently whilst remaining under the direction of the nominated Ramp Supervisor.

Contract Hours: 37.5 hs (6 days on followed by 3 days off)

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

  • Educated to at least GCSE standard
  • Comprehensive knowledge of customer airline operational procedures
  • Proven communication skills
  • At least 2 years service in Ramp operations
  • In depth knowledge of ramp operations procedures

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

1) 5 year checkable employment/education history

2) Full UK manual driving licence (max 3 penalty points)

3) Right to Work in the UK. Please be aware that Travel documents are not accepted.

4) Will be required to complete UK DBS (criminal record check) and overseas criminal record check, if applicable.

5) Must be prepared and able to work rotating shift patterns (early and late shifts) over a 7 day working week

6) Must be aware that the role involves significant manual handling and working outside

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00 per year
