Job Summary
We are seeking a confident and experienced Bar Supervisor to support the day-to-day running of our bar, which offers a high-quality selection of drinks and a small food menu. You will play a key role in leading the front-of-house team, ensuring excellent customer service, smooth operations, and a welcoming atmosphere.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring high standards of service
- Lead and motivate the bar team during shifts
- Support training and development of new and existing staff
- Ensure stock levels are maintained and orders placed when needed
- Monitor cleanliness and hygiene standards, ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations
- Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally
- Assist with cash handling, till reconciliation, and end-of-day reports
- Ensure food orders are processed efficiently and served to standard
- Maintain a good knowledge of the drinks and food menu to advise customers
- Open and close the bar as required
Requirements
- Previous experience in a bar or hospitality supervisory role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Good knowledge of beers, wines, spirits, and cocktails
- Basic understanding of food hygiene and allergen awareness
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment
- Flexible to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Personal Licence (desirable but not essential)
