Salary: £39,409 - £42,510 dependent on experience. Paid on 28th of each month.

Term: Fixed term until March 2027 (extension dependent on continued funding)

The ALLIANCE is excited to be recruiting for Programme Manager for Scotland Reducing Gambling Harm Programme (ScotRGH).

This is an outcomes-focused programme that works towards a Scotland where people with lived experience contribute to policy and practice to reduce gambling harm, there is a growing community movement for change on gambling harm, and gambling harm is recognised and responded to as a public health issue.

The role of Programme Manager is to support the ALLIANCE's strategic priorities by effectively leading, designing and managing the Scotland Reducing Gambling Harms Programme. The post holder will provide leadership, ensure agreed deliverables are met, build the profile of the programme, establish and maintain relationships and partnerships, identify funding opportunities, and evaluate the impact of the programme.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent work experience

  • Experience of working at a strategic level and with senior stakeholders

  • Excellent relationship building and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Experience of using asset based approaches

  • Experience of working sensitively in witnessing and gathering stories from people with lived experience

  • Strong leadership and programme management skills

  • Experience of working effectively in politically sensitive environments and in topic areas that are likely to attract media interest

  • A strong understanding of the health and social care policy and service landscape

  • The ability to facilitate open, exploratory discussions

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and on own initiative

  • IT skills in word processing, spreadsheets, email and the internet

  • Ability to manage budgets

Terms and conditions

This is a full time role (35 hours per week) though part time post (28 hours) considered and based in Glasgow. The post holder will be required to adopt a flexible approach to working hours as travel throughout Scotland and occasional additional hours may be required. However, this will be reimbursed through the organisation's Time off in Lieu scheme.
