We are seeking compassionate and dedicated community carers to provide essential support to individuals in their own homes. As a community carer, you will play a vital role in assisting service users with their daily activities and ensuring their overall well-being. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
Responsibilities:
Provide personal care assistance to service users, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
Assist with mobility and transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary
Companionship
Prompt/Administer medication according to prescribed schedules
Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required
Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe environment
Monitor and report any changes in service users' health or behaviour
Collaborate with healthcare professionals, such as district nurses, to ensure fully integrated and coordinated care
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided
Help service users with accessing local communities, including shopping, attending appointments and activities, days out
Live in service
Experience:
Previous experience of caring for elderly service users in their own homes
Full UK driving license
Experience in medication administration protocols
Knowledge of safe moving and handling
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to handle challenging situations with empathy and professionalism
Relevant social care mandatory training or willing to obtain this
