We have an excellent opportunity for a Head Farm Vet to join a successful and growing mixed veterinary practice in the beautiful Penzance area of Cornwall.

  • excellent full time opportunity working 4 days a week including a 1 in 12 OOH rota.
  • practice is an RCVS-accredited, mixed practice and is established and modern with state-of-the-art facilities and up to date technologies and equipment.
  • caseload is varied offering progressive, proactive farm veterinary care across beef, sheep, and dairy.
  • You will need to be an experienced farm vet (MRCVS) with strong clinical skills
  • a key, senior role that offers you the chance to lead and shape farm veterinary services and you will work closely with the Farm Practice Manager and wider Clinical Director team.
  • role will require you to lead, mentor and develop a dedicated team of farm vets, ATT, and vet techs.
  • fantastic opportunity to develop your leadership skills, grow progressive herd health planning and consultancy-led farm services, lead on government OV work, and to deliver proactive, high-quality farm vetting.

Person Requirements

  • Degree in Veterinary Medicine or equivalent
  • Registered with the RCVS
  • experienced farm vet
  • strong clinical skills
  • able to lead, mentor and develop a farm Vet team
