Job Overview

We are currently seeking Maternity Cover, starting from February 2026.

As a Dental Hygienist/ Hygiene Therapist, you'll provide both clinical and educational healthcare to patients. Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • communicate effectively with patients
  • provide treatments as per dentist's prescription
  • treat children and adults on both NHS and private basis
  • provide care of implants and treatment of peri-implant tissues
  • recognise, identify and interpret abnormalities and common pathology
  • help to motivate and educate individuals to care for their oral hygiene and eat a healthy diet
  • refer patients where necessary to other healthcare professionals

McLean Dental & Implant Clinic is a family-run practice, established in 2022, set in the picturesque town of Lochmaben, 10 minutes from Lockerbie, with east access to the M74, less than 90 minutes from Glasgow and 2 hours from Edinburgh (by car). Whilst set in the beautiful Dumfries & Galloway region. we are also close to the Lake District.

We are looking for a motivated individual to join our team on a self-employed or employed basis, subject to application, to work Monday, Wednesday & Friday.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From £20.00 per hour
