We're looking for an experienced CNC Miller / Toolmaker to join our engineering team.

In this hands-on role, you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-precision mould tool components and EDM electrodes.

The position suits someone with strong 3D CAD/CAM experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently within a busy toolroom environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines to produce mould tool components.
  • Manipulate and work with 3D CAD/CAM files to create accurate tool paths.
  • Manufacture and maintain injection mould tools and associated components.
  • Modify and repair tools from technical drawings and engineering instructions.
  • Safely operate an overhead crane (training provided if required).
  • Assist in training and mentoring apprentices or improvers.
  • Work flexibly to meet production deadlines and support toolroom requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area in line with company standards.

Health & Safety

  • Work safely and efficiently in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • Report any hazards, near misses, or incidents promptly.
  • Use all PPE correctly and maintain a tidy, obstruction-free workspace.

Training & Development

  • Ongoing training and upskilling provided where required (including crane operation).
  • Opportunities to work on a range of precision engineering and toolmaking projects.
  • Supportive, team-focused workshop environment.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
  • 30-minute unpaid break
  • Full-time, permanent position

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £33,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
