As a Product Developer at M&S, you'll be at the forefront of creating commercially successful, customer-loved tea and coffee products that reflect the quality, innovation, and magic of M&S. This role is all about leading and delivering impactful product development within the hot beverages category, aligned with our Category Plans and the wider Food Business strategy.

You'll work collaboratively with talented developers and suppliers to bring exciting new tea and coffee products to life—on time, to the highest standards, and with real commercial impact. From concept to launch, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our hot beverage offering, ensuring every product delivers exceptional taste, quality, and sustainability.

This is a unique opportunity to gain insight not only into the Tea & Coffee category but across the entire M&S Food Group. You'll be part of a passionate, creative team committed to delivering innovation and excellence for our customers.

What You'll Do

  • Keep up to date with trends in foods and lifestyle, packaging and ingredients (e.g. involving active research, travel, eating out and comparative shopping)
  • Deliver product strategy agreed by the business unit, developing products / ranges in line with Brand Values
  • Input into category strategy with Trading Manager, Head of Product Development, Brand Marketing, Technologist and Buyer
  • Set strategy for product ranges in line with category objectives set by Trading Manager/ Head of Product Development.
  • Identify commercial product development opportunities within own area of responsibility
