Norman Alex has been mandated by a leading family owned private bank to recruit a senior Private Banker for the launch of their new Non-Resident Indian (NRI) division. This is a unique opportunity to join a respected institution at a formative stage.

Role Overview

The Private Banker will be responsible for developing and managing long term relationships with HNW and UHNW NRI clients across key global markets. Acting as one of the founding members of this new division, you will combine relationship depth with strong business development skills to achieve ambitious growth targets and position the bank as a trusted partner for international NRI families and entrepreneurs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Originate and grow client relationships within the NRI community.
  • Act as a trusted adviser, delivering tailored solutions across wealth management, investment, lending, and estate planning.
  • Deliver net new asset targets of USD 50 million in year one and USD 150 million over three years.
  • Represent the bank as a senior client-facing professional, promoting discretion, trust, and service excellence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 5+ years experience as a Private Banker, Relationship Manager, or similar in private banking.
  • Strong, established network and relationships with NRI clients across Europe, the Middle East, and Asia.
  • Proven track record of business development and meeting ambitious growth targets.
  • Excellent understanding of cross border wealth structuring, investments, and lending for internationally mobile clients.
  • Entrepreneurial and results-oriented, with the credibility to engage UHNW families and business leaders.
  • Fluent in English; knowledge of Indian languages is an advantage.
