We are now recruiting for the exciting role of Power Station Integration Lead to be involved in industry leading, cutting-edge design project for a new type of power station
The Power Station Integration Lead will lead a small team to integrate functional design and undertake design optioneering to define the design of the RR SMR power station as part of the Power Station Integration team.
The Power Station Integration Lead will deliver integrated power station design using systems engineering methods, working with subject matter experts and discipline design teams across the power station to ensure top level requirements are met and an effective product is delivered.
Responsibilities And Achievements
- As part of the power Station Integration team you will lead a team in the delivery of the product level design of the Power Station through the development of plant capabilities (e.g. generate power) to meet business and customer requirements and manage the performance and attributes of the power station in relation to these. (e.g. net power output, availability, product cost etc.)
- Elicit product and capability requirements and undertake requirements decomposition and function architecting.
- Integrate capabilities across multi-disciplined design teams to develop the design of the SMR Power Station.
- Deliver the capabilities within the Power Station Architecture Model (MBSE).
- Use optioneering & systems engineering techniques to deliver Power Station design solutions against product requirements.
- Ensure the requirements flow to the lower tier systems enables the overarching power station objectives to be met.
Skills And Experience
- Experience in product and system level design and Integration including owning and solving complex product or system level design problems, delivering design solutions across multiple systems and design areas.
- Experience in design optioneering and carrying out multi-attribute decision making to deliver design solutions
- Strong grounding in Systems Engineering tools and techniques, with experience in requirements elicitation and derivation.
- An engineering background with domain experience in Nuclear, Power generation or another highly regulated industry.
- Demonstrable interpersonal skills with experience in working across multi-disciplined teams to integrate design solutions.
- Technical leadership with experience in delivering product solutions.
Pay and Benefits
- Salary - £57,600 - £75,600
- A performance related bonus of up to 12.5%,
- An attractive pension scheme with 12% employer and 6% employee contributions.
- You will also receive a flexible benefits allowance of £2,200, enabling you to create a bespoke package to suit your needs.

- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
