Benefits & Rewards Advisor
Contract: Full time, 6 months
Location: London, SE1 0QN (2 days per week on site)
Pay rate: £40,000 per annum
About the Role
A global, industry-leading organisation is seeking a proactive Benefits & Rewards Advisor to support a major rewards transformation programme. This is a hands-on role combining business-as-usual rewards activity with project involvement, particularly relating to upcoming EU pay transparency legislation.
The successful candidate will help shape policy, ensure compliance, and support the business in preparing for significant changes to compensation practices over the next six months.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of global rewards and benefits initiatives, with a strong focus on upcoming EU pay transparency requirements.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and processes to ensure full compliance with legislation (e.g., equal pay for equal work, transparent salary benchmarks).
- Assist with frameworks that ensure:
- External candidates receive clear and accurate salary information.
- Internal employees have visibility into how their pay compares to peers.
- Hiring teams adhere to restrictions on requesting salary history.
- Work closely with HR, Reward, Talent Acquisition, and business stakeholders to ensure readiness for organisational changes.
- Act as a point of contact for queries related to compensation processes, documentation, and compliance.
- Take ownership of small workstreams within the broader project, driving progress and ensuring deliverables are met.
- Engage confidently with colleagues across the business, building relationships, gathering information, and proactively identifying gaps.
- Provide BAU support across reward, benefits administration, and cyclical activity as required.
Experience & Skills Required
- Prior experience in Rewards, Compensation & Benefits, or a closely related HR discipline.
- Experience working on large, complex projects, ideally within a global HR or rewards function.
- Strong understanding of pay processes and their downstream impact.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills; comfortable "knocking on doors" to get answers and build rapport.
- Proactive, organised, and willing to learn quickly, able to take ownership of specific deliverables.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to translate legislation and policy requirements into practical guidance.
- Exposure to EU or international employment legislation, particularly around pay transparency.
- Background in HR generalist or broader people operations roles.
