Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing administrative tasks efficiently. This role requires a friendly disposition, strong organisational skills, and the ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
Duties
- Greet patients warmly upon arrival and assist them with the check-in process.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations using our electronic health record system.
- Answer phone calls promptly, addressing patient enquiries and directing calls to appropriate staff members.
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner.
- Deal with prescription requests
- Ensure the reception area is tidy and welcoming for patients.
- Collaborate with medical staff to facilitate smooth operations within the practice.
Skills
- Previous office experience is essential, preferably in a medical or healthcare setting.
- Strong administrative experience, including proficiency in using office software.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills to manage appointments and patient records efficiently.

Monday 09:15 - 14:15
Tuesday 14:00 - 18:15
Thursday 09:15 - 15:30
Friday 14:00 - 18:15
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: £12.21 per hour
Expected hours: 19.75 per week
Work Location: In person
