Due to a period of exciting growth within the business, we are seeking an experienced and motivated Shift Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food manufacturing facility during assigned shifts. The Shift Manager will lead production teams to ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards while meeting production targets and complying with food safety and regulatory requirements.

What you'll be doing:

· Supervise and coordinate all production activities on the assigned shift.

· Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, food safety, and quality standards.

· Monitor daily performance metrics (production output, downtime, waste, labour efficiency) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

· Lead, coach, and develop team members to foster a high-performance culture.

· Ensure that health and safety standards are strictly followed and incidents are reported and investigated promptly.

· Conduct shift handovers and maintain accurate shift reports and production records.

· Troubleshoot operational issues and escalate when necessary to minimize downtime.

· Coordinate with maintenance, quality, warehouse, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.

· Manage labour deployment, attendance, and resolve shift-level employee issues.

· Participate in audits, inspections, and training sessions as required.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £32,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
