Job Overview

We are seeking a vigilant and responsible Door Supervisor to oversee access control and maintain safety within our premises. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring a secure environment for staff and visitors, employing surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies. Duties

• Monitor entrances and exits to regulate access, ensuring only authorised personnel enter the premises
• Conduct regular surveillance using CCTV systems to observe activity and identify potential security threats
• Implement loss prevention measures by recognising suspicious behaviour and intervening appropriately
• Maintain a visible presence in designated areas to deter unlawful activity and ensure safety
• Respond promptly to emergencies, including administering first aid when necessary
• Record incidents accurately in security logs and report any irregularities to management
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to security protocols
• Assist visitors and staff courteously while maintaining strict security standards

Experience

• Prior experience in security or surveillance roles is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided
• Knowledge of CCTV operation, loss prevention techniques, and surveillance systems is desirable
• First aid certification or willingness to obtain certification is preferred
• Strong observational skills with the ability to recognise suspicious activity swiftly
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional demeanour
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations discreetly and effectively
