Job Description – Senior Practitioner

Summary:
To ensure effective leadership within base room.
To always operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.
To support the Lead Practitioner and cover in the role of their absence.
To support the Lead Practitioner in working toward the whole company Vision, Mission and Values
Responsibilities/ Duties:
To comply with legal requirements and Rosy Apple Childcare Policies and Procedures.
Ensure staff within your base room, follow and adhere to Policies and Procedures.
Take part in continuous professional development.
Be an effective communicator
Support SEND within base room, including support needed, and actioning.
Monitor children's progress within the base room.
Ensure quality educational programmes are followed.
Lead and support the base room in providing high standards of provision for children.
Engage in positive leadership, promoting and supporting staff welfare.
Support effective safeguarding within the setting.
Positive partnership working with parents and external agencies.
Work in line with statutory framework including legal requirements.
Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.
Support the Lead Practitioner with administrative duties.
Support the Lead Practitioner with collection and recording of fees.
Use IT software packages as supplied by the company.
Ensure confidentiality of information received in line with Policies and Procedures.
Maintain high standards of health and safety.
