Job Description – Senior Practitioner

Rosy Apple Childcare Ltd

Summary:

  • To ensure effective leadership within base room.

  • To always operate in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • To support the Lead Practitioner and cover in the role of their absence.

  • To support the Lead Practitioner in working toward the whole company Vision, Mission and Values

Responsibilities/ Duties:

  • To comply with legal requirements and Rosy Apple Childcare Policies and Procedures.

  • Ensure staff within your base room, follow and adhere to Policies and Procedures.

  • Take part in continuous professional development.

  • Be an effective communicator

  • Support SEND within base room, including support needed, and actioning.

  • Monitor children's progress within the base room.

  • Ensure quality educational programmes are followed.

  • Lead and support the base room in providing high standards of provision for children.

  • Engage in positive leadership, promoting and supporting staff welfare.

  • Support effective safeguarding within the setting.

  • Positive partnership working with parents and external agencies.

  • Work in line with statutory framework including legal requirements.

  • Promote Equality, Diversity and Inclusion.

  • Support the Lead Practitioner with administrative duties.

  • Support the Lead Practitioner with collection and recording of fees.

  • Use IT software packages as supplied by the company.

  • Ensure confidentiality of information received in line with Policies and Procedures.

  • Maintain high standards of health and safety.

Essential

  • History of a successful career in Early Years.

  • Minimum 1 year experience in Early Years provision

Qualifications

Essential

  • Level 3 or above in Early Years Education and Childcare, or other relevant qualification.
