Are you a natural storyteller who sees the narrative behind the numbers? We're looking for a Consumer Data Analyst to join our team and transform complex consumer data into actionable insights. If you're passionate about bringing the reader's voice to the forefront of every business conversation through impactful data analysis, this is the role for you.
Your team:
You'll be joining our award-winning Digital Communications team, a dynamic group of specialists leading the way in digital strategy, and constantly evolving to find innovative ways to reach our readers online. Reporting into the Consumer Data Strategist, you'll work with colleagues in Communications, Sales, Analytics, Technology and Finance. You will be at the heart of our mission, driving data-led decisions with powerful consumer and commercial insights.
Your role:
Your mission is to turn our rich consumer data into powerful, actionable stories. You'll champion the reader's voice in every conversation, managing key reports and dashboards, spotting new opportunities, and guiding our strategy to ensure data is at the heart of everything we do.
Your key responsibilities:
Lead consumer analytics projects from start to finish, using diverse data to unlock business growth and find value-adding opportunities.
Manage and optimise key reports and dashboards in Tableau to track performance and support business priorities.
Collaborate across the business to embed data into our decision-making and strategy.
Analyse our rich performance marketing data to interpret trends, and make commercial recommendations to maximize our bottom-line.
Design, execute, and interpret A/B tests to boost marketing performance.
Act as a key data expert, translating complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
Actively seek opportunities to enhance workflow and processes, using new and developing technologies such as AI (especially Google Gemini), to contribute to continuous improvement within the team.
Essential experience, abilities and knowledge you'll need to succeed:
Data management: Proven skills in data cleaning, blending, and transformation.
Data storytelling: Experience telling compelling stories with data using visualisation tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker Studio.
Data extraction and integration: Experience using SQL to join and make sense of multiple data sets.
Integrity: A diligent approach to data integrity and accuracy, ensuring all analytical tasks are thorough and reports are reliable, trustworthy, and delivered with transparency.
Curiosity: A curious and results-driven approach focused on exploring new data sets and solving core business problems with innovative analytical methods.
Community: A collaborative team player who actively seeks input, shares knowledge, and works effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues to achieve shared business goals.
Desirable skills we'd love you to have:
Experience using Python or R for data exploration.
Previous experience in a data analyst role, ideally with consumer or marketing data.
Knowledge of crafting and interpreting A/B or multivariate tests.
Familiarity with APIs, relational databases, or web scraping.
What you'll get in return:
In return we can offer you a range of great projects, a supportive and collaborative working environment as well as a competitive salary and benefits package.
Salary starting from: £38,000
Closing date: 9 November 2025
Some of the benefits we offer:
