Apprentice Vehicle Damage Assessor - Automotive Repair Centre

Working hours for the role are Monday to Friday 8:00am-5:30pm and 1 in 4 Saturdays 8am-12pm (Max 40 hours for under 18)

We have an excellent opportunity for a recent school leaver to join our Accident Repair Business based at our Witham site. We are looking for someone who is keen to undertake a apprenticeship as a Vehicle Damage Assessor.

You will be working alongside motor industry professionals in a state of the art environment, providing support across our front office and workshop functions as part of our customers vehicle repair journey following accidents on the road.

Key tasks will include:

  • Data entry and data processing on our company software and databases
  • Assessing vehicles for repair with Qualified VDAs
  • Understanding repair over replace methodolgy
  • Processing assessments in industry estimating software
  • Researching repair methodology using industry software
  • Associated business administration

Previous experience & skills:

  • A passion for cars and all things automotive is essential
  • Ideally you will have previous office based customer experience and admin skills
  • Experience within the motor trade would be beneficial but not essential
  • Strong and clear communication skills
  • Attention to detail for data entry and computer skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

  • Bodyshop: 3 years (preferred)
  • VDA: 3 years (preferred)

  • Audatex or GT Motive Licence (preferred)
  • ATA or NVQ L3 certification (preferred)
