What you would do as our Electronics Engineer
As an Electronics Engineer, you will have the opportunity to develop electronic products for the Traka and KEYper Systems brands from initial concepts through to production, covering multiple disciplines of electronics design, printed circuit board layout and embedded firmware. Reporting to the Electronics Team Lead, you will be responsible for developing new electronic designs and firmware as well as any supporting tools and fixtures needed for production. This is a hybrid role requiring one full day in the office per week.
You would also:
• Participate in the development and implementation of new electronic products from requirements stage through to handover to manufacturing, comprehensive of test prototypes phase.
• Participate in the development and implementation of embedded firmware written in C.
• Contribute towards product innovation with new ideas and research.
• Understand, develop, maintain and support existing product firmware and hardware.
• Provide support and documentation for hardware developments such as schematics, BOMs and test procedures.
The skills and experience you need
We are looking for someone who:
• Has a minimum of three years' experience in an Electronics/Embedded role, with a proven track record of developing electronic products from concept through to production.
• Demonstrates strong electronics design skills across microcontrollers, analog and digital circuits, and power supplies, with experience in selecting and sourcing electronic components.
• Is proficient in the full PCB design process, including library creation, schematic design, PCB layout, and generation of manufacturing files.
• Is skilled in embedded firmware development and debugging using C, with hands-on experience in electronic testing and use of lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, bench PSUs, and multimeters.
• Possesses solid prototyping abilities (soldering, wiring, mechanical), strong documentation and writing skills, and a good working knowledge of communication interfaces including CAN, RS232, RS485, SPI, I2C, USB, and Ethernet.
