Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our healthcare team. The successful candidate will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where accuracy, organisation, and compassionate patient interaction are paramount. The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital part in supporting medication management and delivering high-quality healthcare services.

Responsibilities

  • Assist pharmacists in preparing, dispensing, and distributing prescription medications accurately and efficiently.
  • Manage medication inventory, including stock replenishment and storage organisation.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by answering queries regarding medication usage and advising on over-the-counter products when appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal and safety regulations related to medication handling and patient confidentiality.
  • Maintain precise records of prescriptions, medication logs, and patient information in accordance with organisational policies.
  • Support administrative tasks such as processing prescriptions, billing, and updating patient records.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes through effective medication management.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or similar role within a healthcare setting.
  • Knowledge of medication administration procedures and pharmacy operations.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high standards of accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Certification or registration as a Pharmacy Technician (where applicable) is preferred but not essential for all roles.
  • A compassionate approach to patient care with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
