Deputy General Manager – New Opening | La Familia, Soho

  • Location: Soho, London
  • Concept: Latin street food upstairs, hidden cocktail bar downstairs
  • Role: Deputy General Manager
  • Salary: £35,000–£40,000 + bonus + service charge

La Familia is Soho's bold new two-storey hangout for tacos, tequila, and late-night energy.

Upstairs: a fast, flavour-packed taqueria inspired by the backstreets of Mexico City.

Downstairs: a hidden speakeasy slinging mezcal cocktails and Latin disco beats into the early hours.

We're building a place that's cool, playful, and just a little wild – and we need a Deputy General Manager who's up for the ride.

This is your chance to join a brand-new opening, help build it from scratch, and shape something people will talk about.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Run high-energy, guest-focused shifts with confidence
  • Take ownership of P&L, labour, stock, and performance targets
  • Confidently lead the venue when the GM is off (yes, even for weeks)
  • Hire, train, and lead a team that genuinely loves what they do
  • Bring creative energy – ideas for events, service, playlists, etc.
  • Oversee both the taqueria and the cocktail bar
  • Ensure full compliance with licensing, health & safety, and company standards

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ year in a management role in a high-volume bar or restaurant
  • Strong financial and operational skills
  • A natural leader with high energy and strong people skills
  • Calm under pressure, solutions-focused, and always guest-first
  • A hands-on operator who leads from the floor
  • Bonus: opening experience, cocktail/bar knowledge – but we can train you
