1FitLife is a creative content agency specialising in the fitness, health and wellness space. We partner with leading brands, charities and organisations to produce high-quality design, digital content, video productions (both clinical healthcare and creative content) and brand-led campaigns. Our team, based in Christchurch, is a mix of creatives, producers, marketeers and fitness enthusiasts, who care about delivering work that helps people live healthier, happier lives.

We're a small team (14 of us) working in fast paced agency, and we're proud of the environment we've built where people can grow their skills, try new things and feel part of a genuinely passionate team.

We're looking for a Junior Designer, with a can do attitude, who's happy to help out, learn, grow and join us in our brand new office, for 3 days a week, starting from Jan 2026.

About the Role

We're looking for an organised, detail-driven Junior Designer to join our in-house creative team and support the delivery of day-to-day design work for our retained clients.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured design workflows, brand systems, and can confidently take templated or existing layouts and bring them to life with accuracy, consistency and speed.

You'll work closely with our Senior Designer and Account Manager to produce design assets to a high standard, ensuring all outputs are brand-aligned and delivered on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day design tasks including resizing, layout updates, adaptations and artwork changes
• Create internal communications materials, social assets and operational graphics using established templates
• Apply brand guidelines consistently across all formats and channels
• Prepare final artwork files for digital and print delivery (web-ready & print-ready outputs)

Brand Consistency & Quality Control

• Ensure all work meets our clients' brand standards
• Carry out version updates, copy placement, image swaps and formatting changes with high attention to detail
• Support the Senior Designer in maintaining visual accuracy across all deliverables

Workflow & Collaboration

• Manage and update workloads through shared project management tools
• Work closely with the Account Manager to ensure deadlines and priorities are understood and met
• Attend meetings to take briefs, discuss tasks, timings and alignment
• Incorporate feedback efficiently and within agreed revision cycles

Support for Projects

• Assist the Senior Designer on larger projects (e.g. campaign rollouts)
• Contribute ideas to improve workflow, efficiency and the quality of design delivery
• Support the creation of project management documents to present progress reports back to client
• Ensure project management databases are kept up to date and organised

Skills & Experience

Essential

• 1–2 years design experience (agency or in-house) or strong portfolio demonstrating relevant work
• Excellent knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)
• Comfortable working with established brand guidelines
• Strong layout and typography skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently on multiple tasks
• Good communication and time-management skills

Desirable

• Experience with simple motion graphics or Canva templates
• Experience producing assets for health, fitness, wellbeing or corporate audiences
• Basic understanding of preparing print-ready artwork

Job Types: Part-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: £1,500.00-£2,500.00 per month
