Key Responsibilities
Purpose of the role
To provide the foundational evidence for Market Access and reimbursement of KIMMTRAK (tebentafusp) for the second proposed indication, treatment of HLA-A*02:01 adult patients with advanced (stage IV) cutaneous melanoma whose disease has progressed following prior treatments.
The evidence will include:
- review of published scientific evidence
- data and statistical analyses and modelling of data; and,
- preparation of advice with government agencies across multiple countries in Europe, such as for Health Technology Assessment by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) in the UK.
- Additional objectives will include updates to evidence, and negotiations for contracts and price renewals for the approved indication in advanced uveal melanoma across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to develop their skills in translating research into compelling written reviews and conclusions, whilst learning how the outputs from R&D can be progressed to a medicine being made routinely available to all eligible patients on the public healthcare system, such as on the NHS in the UK. The project will also provide the student with an excellent opportunity to learn how a medicine is developed and commercialised across multiple countries.
Additional key skills the student will develop include: (i) demonstrating leadership via expertise; (ii) project management; and, (iii) presentation and communication skills, which will build on the student's scientific knowledge / skills gained during their university studies. The student will have the opportunity to learn from other departments in R&D and the broader Commercial and Medical teams outside of the Market Access team to gain an understanding of how a pharmaceutical company provides new medicines to patients.
Education & Qualifications
- Currently studying towards a biological sciences degree, such as pharmacology, biochemistry or biotechnology.
- An individual who has a willingness to work independently with guidance from the team, challenge assumptions, listen to in-country experts and provide evidence-based insights across multiple countries.
- Proven experience working within teams and taking responsibility for their progress toward fulfilling the team's objectives.
