Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Garden Supervisor who will manage ground maintenance tasks at communal and residential developments around North West London and the Watford area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gardening and landscape maintenance, demonstrating expertise in the use of hand tools, power tools, and problem solving.

Duties

  • Supervise and coordinate daily gardening activities, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Utilise hand tools and power tools for all grounds maintenance tasks.
  • Uphold standards when carrying out landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, and mulching.
  • Provide guidance and training to team members on gardening techniques and equipment usage.
  • Monitor plant growth and health, implementing necessary interventions for pest control or disease management.
  • Maintain accurate records of garden activities, plant inventories, and equipment usage.
  • Report and identify any areas recommended for improvement across all sites.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Diploma or Certificate Level 2 (or above) in horticulture (City and Guilds or similar).
  • Full UK driving licence with no prior offences.
  • 5 years + experience in horticulture or a related field with a strong understanding of plant care and landscape maintenance.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and irrigation systems effectively.
  • High level of understanding of safe working practices.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective team leadership and collaboration.
  • A highly motivated individual with a passion for gardening and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience in skilled hands on jobs and tasks.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £14.25-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37 – 40 per week
