We are seeking a reliable and professional Courier Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering goods efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role requires excellent driving skills, organisational abilities, and strong communication to ensure customer satisfaction. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on timely deliveries and excellent service.

Duties

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all road safety regulations and company policies.
  • Plan efficient delivery routes to optimise time and fuel consumption.
  • Load and unload goods, often requiring heavy lifting, ensuring items are secure during transit.
  • Deliver parcels, documents, or other items to clients at specified locations within scheduled timeframes.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs promptly.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the vehicle at all times.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, with a strong understanding of commercial driving practices.
  • Valid driver's licence appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., car driver, lorry driver).
  • Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting when required, with good physical fitness.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
