Job Introduction

2gether Support Solutions is a Facilities and Estates services company providing support to healthcare professionals caring for over 2000 patients daily across multiple East Kent hospital sites. 2gether provides vital services including maintenance, cleaning, catering, procurement, logistics and much more.

We are seeking a professional and motivated People Advisor to join our People Team. In this role, you will provide practical guidance and support to managers and colleagues, helping to create a positive and productive workplace. You will manage a varied HR caseload, support change initiatives, and deliver management development programmes that strengthen leadership and team performance.

You will be involved in a wide range of HR activities, from performance management, sickness absence, disciplinary and grievance matters, to policy development and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. This is a rewarding role for someone who enjoys problem solving, working collaboratively, and making a meaningful impact on the organisation.

We are open to both full time and part time applications. This role will be based at the QEQM Hospital in Margate, with travel as needed to our other East Kent Hospital sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear, practical advice and support to managers on employee performance, absence, disciplinary, and grievance matters
  • Support investigations and prepare documentation for hearings
  • Assist in planning and implementing change initiatives in line with organisational goals and policies
  • Deliver management development programmes to equip managers with essential skills
  • Review and update employment policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legislation and best practice
  • Manage a caseload of HR matters, prioritising effectively to meet deadlines and maintain quality standards
  • Monitor trends in HR activity and recommend improvements to policies, processes, and employee understanding
  • Contribute to HR projects and initiatives as requested by senior colleagues

About You:

You are an approachable and confident HR professional who is passionate about providing practical guidance and support across a range of people management issues. You enjoy building positive relationships, handling challenging situations with diplomacy, and helping managers and colleagues succeed.

You are organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

Key qualities and experience include:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and advise effectively
  • Experience in a generalist HR role, including case management and employment policy application
  • Ability to deliver training and management development programmes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other HR systems
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and best practice
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent) and a degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience
