Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dental practice. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of dental hygiene practices and be committed to providing exceptional patient care. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in promoting oral health and educating patients on effective hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough dental cleanings and examinations for patients.
  • Apply preventive materials such as sealants and fluorides.
  • Take and interpret medical imaging, including X-rays, to assist in diagnosis.
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and document treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with dentists to develop comprehensive treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements in dental hygiene practices and technologies.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy to effectively assess and treat patients.
  • Diagnose and treat NHS patients( mainly under 18s).
  • Offer private treatments like Air polishing, whitening ( on chair and at home).

Requirements

  • Valid Dental Hygienist licence or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in medical imaging techniques is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy related to dental health is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CAD systems is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with patients.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of care.

Payment for NHS patients per UDA ( 10 GBP per UDA , tbc) , private patients are at 40/60 split , lab bills are 50/50 .

Our practice is located near the sea, in a peaciful and beautiful area with wonderful long standing patients . It is independent and friendly - just the ideal place for you to work and thrive.
