Salary: £21,000 per year (equivalent to £35,000 full-time)

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced, qualified Vehicle Technician to join our growing aftersales team on a part-time basis.

At Geoff Cox Automotive, you won't get lost in a big dealership structure — you'll be part of a close-knit, friendly team where your skills are recognised, your ideas are heard, and your wellbeing genuinely matters.

Working within our Subaru and Mitsubishi-approved workshop, you'll take on a key role carrying out vehicle servicing, MOT preparation, mechanical repairs and vehicle preparation for sale. As a senior, fully qualified technician, you'll take pride in delivering work to a high standard, supporting workshop efficiency, and ensuring our customers' vehicles are maintained with care and precision.

We're open to discussing hours and flexibility — and there's also the option to expand this into a full-time position for the right candidate.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Carrying out routine servicing, maintenance, and mechanical repairs
  • Preparing sold vehicles to manufacturer standards
  • Conducting MOT testing and pre-MOT checks
  • Diagnosing faults accurately using diagnostic equipment and technical data
  • Ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
  • Maintaining accurate records and job cards
  • Working collaboratively with the workshop and service teams to ensure smooth operations

What We're Looking For

  • Qualified to NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
  • MOT tester certification (Class 4)
  • Proven experience as a qualified vehicle technician
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
  • Reliable, self-motivated and able to manage workload efficiently
  • Team-oriented, with good communication and problem-solving skills

The Package
