What You'll Do
As Senior / Principal Commercial Solicitor based in Birmingham you will:

  • Provide expert advice on a broad spectrum of commercial contracts, ensuring clients receive tailored solutions
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-value supply and purchasing agreements across various sectors
  • Advise on agency and distribution arrangements
  • Deliver guidance on IT agreements and intellectual property licensing arrangements
  • Offer practical advice on data protection matters
  • Engage actively in business development initiatives by identifying new opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and contributing to the firm's growth strategy.
  • Participate in leadership activities such as supervising junior team members, sharing knowledge through mentoring, and engaging in wider firm initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across departments
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and legal developments to ensure your advice remains current and commercially relevant.

What You Bring
In this Senior / Principal Commercial Solicitor position you will:

  • Hold at least 6 years' post-qualification experience gained within a City or large regional law firm specialising in commercial law.
  • Demonstrate strong technical proficiency across commercial contracts, intellectual property matters, IT agreements, and data protection issues.
  • Exhibit dedication to delivering exceptional client service through clear communication and empathetic engagement.
  • Possess proven experience in networking and business development activities aimed at expanding client portfolios.
  • Bring an appetite for participating in leadership roles such as team supervision or involvement in firm-wide projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting commercial law practice.
