Job Overview

We're a small tight-knit family business seeking a reliable and efficient Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Duties

  • Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations in the local area.
  • Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling of products during transit.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery times and any issues encountered.
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any changes.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Keep the van tidy and treated with respect.
  • Support with warehouse duties where required, working alongside team members.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
  • Valid UK driving licence, with experience driving commercial vehicles being an advantage.
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
  • Strong communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
  • A positive attitude
  • Proficient in English
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed during deliveries.
  • A commitment to safety and attention to detail while driving and handling goods.
