This position is primarily support for the Global Managed Payroll (GMP) team but will also apply to other divisions of the business, when applicable.
The Solution Consultant plays a key role within the Sales cycle which includes:
- Driving the Discovery process enabling us to understand the customer requirements at a good level of detail;
- Identifying areas where the customer may require additional support or services;
- Helping internal and customer teams to prepare for a successful implementation and ongoing customer experience;
- Supporting the Solution Design, Pricing, Contracting and other aspects of the Sales Process
- Demonstrating the technical components of the solution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support Regional Sales Managers (RSMs) in the Sales Process using a variety of tools including Discovery Templates to uncover the customer's requirements (including those that the customer themselves may not initially be aware of);
- Work with other internal teams/ stakeholders on the specific part of the solution where required
- Deliver product demonstrations for all applications, configured where necessary
- Prepare to deliver Solution Presentations as appropriate to best address prospect issues; ensure demonstrations are free of complications and maximize the usefulness of our solutions.
- Participate with sales team members to identify strategic approach most likely to persuade prospect to buy.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of our competitor's products, company direction, financial stability, plus any other detailed knowledge required to successfully carry out the role
- Keep current with industry events, product offerings, etc.
- Ensure the management team has up to date progress information at all times by regularly reporting on the progress with each prospect via phone conferences, pipeline reports and record keeping
- Build and maintain thorough knowledge of all of our products & services and be considered a key resource for detailed knowledge by the sales team.
- Provide input from prospect requirements/concerns to Product Marketing teams and development
- Assist at trade shows, user conferences, as required
- Support the defined RFI/RFP response process
- Interact with sales, marketing and external customers.
- Be aware of, and comply with, all corporate policies
Key Skills required:
- A hungry self-starter who is able to work independently but primarily as part of a team
- Questioning and listening skills to ask the right questions, uncover requirements and be able to map those requirements (or identify gaps)
- An eloquent communicator who can maintain gravitas of communication
- +2 years Solution Consultant experience or equivalent function with HCM, ERP Financials, CRM, or Payroll services or other complex solution-based sales environments
- Experience of SaaS or Cloud based technologies
- Broad business knowledge: ability to interpret and utilize industry information on competitors
- Demonstrable experience in making formal presentations including ability to quickly redesign presentations and demos
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Requires a willingness to work a flexible schedule.
- Global Travel required
