Teaching Assistant Level 3 – Oasis Academy Clarksfield Primary School

We are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join Clarksfield Primary Schools team. As a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will gain many new skills to help you develop throughout the apprenticeship.

Key Details

Salary: £8.55 per hour

Working hours: Monday to Friday (shifts TBC) 35 hours per week

Apprenticeship Details - 16 months expected duration to complete, working towards your Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification. (All learning is delivered online/ remote). 

Training Provider: LMP Education (rated 8th best UK training provider)

During your time as a Teaching Assistant Apprentice, you will be based in a classroom environment and will help support the young learners within their lessons and will be involved in planning lessons. Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Work under the direction of the line manager, class teachers, and other staff to support the learning of whole classes, selected groups or individuals as instructed
  • Promote positive pupil behaviour in line with academy policies and help keep pupils on task
  • Interact with, and support pupils, according to individual needs and skills
  • Raise standards of achievement for all pupils
  • Encourage pupils to become more independent learners
  • Provide support for their emotional, social, and physical welfare
  • Support the inclusion of pupils in all aspects of school life
  • Participating in the performance and development review process, taking personal responsibility for identification of learning, development and training opportunities in discussion with line manager
  • To support learning by arranging/providing resources for lessons/activities under the direction of the teacher

Essential skills:

  • Achieved GCSE grade C/4 or above in English & Maths

Desired skills:

  • Previous experience of working with children desirable
