Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Manager to oversee our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient processes, managing staff, and optimising logistics to enhance productivity and profitability. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, supply chain dynamics, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily warehouse operations, including shipping and receiving activities.
  • Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and adherence to safety standards.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Oversee the use of transportation management systems and ensure effective coordination with third-party logistics (3PL) providers.
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels using ERP systems and warehouse management systems.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to streamline supply chain processes and improve overall service delivery.
  • Utilise forklift equipment safely and efficiently as required for various tasks within the warehouse.

Experience

  • Proven experience in warehouse management or a similar role, with a strong background in logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Demonstrated supervisory experience, including the ability to lead teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with profit & loss responsibilities and financial oversight within a warehouse environment.
  • Knowledge of AS400 systems is advantageous but not essential.
  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation strategies is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of shipping & receiving processes, along with relevant regulatory compliance requirements.
