Azure Security Engineer

Hybrid

We're excited to be partnering with an organisation in their search for an Azure Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls for a new project.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy and manage
    Azure Front Door
    and WAF solutions.
  • Enable and support Azure technologies to upgrade existing systems.
  • Implemented internal firewall and API security controls.
  • Ensure robust and compliant security controls across Azure and user access systems.
  • Lead root cause analysis for control failures, misconfigurations, and system issues.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to balance security, usability, and business needs.
  • Support IAM tooling, documentation, and configuration changes in line with audit and compliance standards.

Required experience

  • Implemented and maintained
    Azure Front Door
    services.
  • Commercial experience implementing security controls in Azure, including WAF, firewalling, API security, and securing cloud-native services, with integration of on-prem environments.
  • Familiar with firewall technologies including CheckPoint and NSX, and well-versed in user access models, federated identity, and modern security protocols.
  • Experienced in supporting security audits, compliance checks, and user access reviews.
  • Exposure to identity and access management (IAM) across enterprise settings, with hands-on experience using Active Directory, Entra ID, Okta, Azure, and web security gateways such as Zscaler.

Desirable experience

  • Commercial experience with Terraform
