About the Team

Led by our Architecture Lead Brendan, you'll be part of a dynamic, forward-thinking team of Architects and Consultants that are deeply passionate about turning bold enterprise visions into smart, scalable solutions. As a key pillar of our Consulting Division, the Architecture team plays a major role in our growth story - influencing high-impact digital transformations across various industries. The Role

As a Cloud Solution Architect, you'll play a key role in bringing together Envitia's consulting, engineering, and product capabilities through cutting-edge hosting solutions and tailored services that deliver real value to our clients.

Based within our growing Consulting Division, you'll be responsible for designing and owning hosting, application, data, and infrastructure solutions across a variety of environments — including cloud (single and multi-vendor), on-premises, and hybrid landscapes.

Beyond solution design, you'll take the lead in turning these designs into scalable services that meet the specific needs and challenges of our customers. You'll oversee the full lifecycle of these solutions — from initial concept and design through to implementation and ongoing service delivery.

You'll also play an active role in supporting Envitia's sales efforts, contributing to pre-sales activities by shaping technical approaches, defining solutions, and preparing effort and cost estimates to support winning proposals.

Job Responsibilities 

• Analyse and gather requirements, translating them into scalable hosting and service solutions.
• Document and communicate solutions to all stakeholders including customer and internal development teams.
• Lead the development of service architectures for new and existing projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
• Provide direction, advice and support to organisational change, process and controls change management, and technology development teams during the design and build of solutions and services. 
• Define and document service delivery frameworks, ensuring that operational models are robust and adaptable to change.
• Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and other stakeholders to ensure successful implementation of the proposed service architectures.
• Provide technical leadership in solution reviews and ensure designs meet client and regulatory standards.
• Become an active contributor to Envitia's architecture policies and standards and ensure all solutions meet our architecture policies and standards.
• Ensure solution, hosting and service architectures are subject to robust cost and effort estimation, covering design, development, transition, operation, maintenance and exit costs.

Required Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with experience of designing data and application architectures in cloud environments.
• Solid cloud knowledge in both Azure and AWS environments.
• Strong experience of defining and designing on-prem, hybrid, single cloud and multi-cloud architectures.
• Solid experience in distributed architecture, integrating Azure and AWS native applications with COTS applications.
• Exposure to a range of modern architectures including data streaming, real-time processing, distributed computing, cloud computing, visualisation, analytics, machine learning and data lakehouses.
• Exposure to modern data tools (e.g. Databricks, Snowflake, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric).
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills, with the ability to lead consulting engagement with customers.

Security Clearance Requirements

The successful candidate must hold or be required to go through an SC security clearance.

Location

The role will require travel to our Horsham offices 2 days a month and travel to customer sites when required.
