We are seeking a highly motivated PR, Events & Marketing Assistant Manager to join our fast growing startup. The ideal candidate will have experience in planning and managing events with focus, precision and a smile, working with diverse stakeholders, liaising with press, celebrities, influencers, partners and sponsors and an enthusiasm to support marketing and social media strategies, curating social media content, working with a small team preferably with strong experience/ understanding of events, education sector or gaming industry.

This is a unique opportunity to work on a high profile celebrity event in Autumn 2025, and is a hybrid role which requires at least 3-4 days in our London office in South Kensington.

Role Description

The PR Events & Marketing Manager will be responsible for creating and distributing press releases, managing media relations, planning and executing events, and handling public relations activities. The role involves daily communication with various media outlets, organising promotional events, and ensuring successful public relations campaigns and managing a high profile launch event in 2025 (under embargo).

Responsibilities:

  • Research and plan high profile celebrity event
  • Manage VIP guest list
  • Liaise with & manage press
  • Research, plan and implement playtesting sessions at schools
  • Research, develop and support comprehensive PR, marketing and social media strategies to enhance Brainspark Games online/offline presence and reputation
  • Build and maintain relationships with key media outlets and influencers in the EdTech & gaming industries
  • Work alongside our PR agent to draft and distribute press releases, articles, blogs, and other PR materials
  • Monitor and analyse media coverage and social media metrics to measure the effectiveness of PR and social media efforts
  • Stay current with industry trends and news to identify opportunities for media coverage and social media engagement
  • Create and Edit videos
  • Update and manage website
  • Create and schedule content for all social media platforms, including; LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok and YouTube

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, Media with video editing, Communications or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in PR, events, press or marketing management, preferably in the education & gaming
  • Exceptional event planning, organisation & follow up/ execution skills
  • Strong writing and editing skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Familiarity with social media management tools and analytics platforms
  • Passion for Edtech & gaming and a desire to make a positive impact in the field.
