Arla Food Stourton are looking for a proactive and proficient Warehouse Operative to join a high-performance team both delivering and supporting other functions to meet challenging team and personal goals. The successful candidate will work a 4 on, 4 off shift pattern which will include both day and night shifts.

About the job

  • Working a combination of both in the Warehouse and Yard you will be responsible for waste management within all areas
  • The successful candidate will ensure full completion of daily targets whilst maintaining strict food hygiene and Health& Safety standards within the department.
  • Operating FLT counterbalance to ensure efficient pallet supply across the Dairy and to our customers.
  • You will monitor equipment performance and correct/raise issues before they become problems and perform basic maintenance tasks and fault diagnosis (OAC)
  • Report safety issues. Maintain proper safety conditions of equipment and surroundings
  • Perform quality inspections on inbound materials& ingredients before sending to internal customers
  • Perform specified cleaning tasks as per our daily/monthly schedules.
  • Support the running of our production lines safely and efficiently to ensure top quality products are distributed on time.

What you'll need to be successful in the role

  • Previous experience of working in a warehousing or cold store environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Previous experience of SAP would be advantageous but full training will be given
  • A motivated team player, who can work on their own initiative and knows about supply chain processes and sticking to health and safety rules
  • You must be a strong communicator, who is able to prioritise tasks in a timely and organised manner and contribute to regular department meetings.
  • You'll be a strong performer with a good attendance record and a willingness to learn further skills
